ANZ REIA 100 to highlight excellence in Australian real estate industry in 2024

The Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) announced the launch of its centennial celebration, the ANZ REIA 100, scheduled to take place from 14 to 16 May 2024 in Hobart, Tasmania. This event aims to unite the real estate industry across Australia and emphasise the unique advantages of Real Estate Institute membership.

REIA President, Ms. Leanne Pilkington, revealed that the ANZ REIA 100 would be a combined event featuring the Australasian Auctioneering Championships (AUSTROS), the REIA National Awards for Excellence, and a Centennial Congress. “Together with the Real Estate Institute of Tasmania (REIT), the ANZ REIA 100 will combine the Australasian Auctioneering Championships (AUSTROS), the REIA National Awards for Excellence and a REIA Centennial Congress,” she stated, highlighting the unification of these prestigious occasions.

Pilkington excitedly commented on the event’s objectives, saying, “Over the two days, we will commemorate the role of the REIA collective, celebrate where we are as an industry and look to the future through the Centennial Congress.” She also mentioned that the congress would focus on pivotal issues facing the sector and explore future insights to prepare the real estate industry for another century of success.

The ANZ banking group has been welcomed on board as the Principal Partner for this significant milestone. “Thank you to ANZ for coming on as Principal Partner and recognising the importance of the real estate agency sector as a growth industry,” added Pilkington.

The preliminary speakers’ lineup for the ANZ REIA Centennial Congress boasts industry experts and futurists, including financial markets expert Effie Zahos, demographer Charlie Nelson, AI specialist Dr. Alan Thompson, workforce expert Kim Seeling-Smith, investment advisor Gus Balbotin, cybersecurity expert Cosi De Angelis, and Assistant Governor (Economic) Sarah Hunter.

To ensure the eventโ€™s success, a Steering Group has been appointed by the REIA Board, comprising well-known figures in the real estate industry such as Leanne Pilkington, Andrew Bell OAM, Hayden Groves, Nicole Greenwell, Adrian Kelly, Anna Neelagama, Victoria Peisley, and Michelle Tynan.
