Capital Luxury Residences (CLR) has revitalised the Gold Coast luxury property market with the sale of Armorel Mansion for a record $7.7 million. This sale not only signifies a new peak for the region’s real estate market but also highlights the international appeal of Australian luxury properties. Situated in the elite waterfront area of Mermaid Waters, the Armorel Mansion, encompassing six bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms, was sold in a landmark deal that surpassed the area’s previous record by $400,000. The property was distinguished for its architecture, having received the Best Waterfront Housing Development in Australia award at the prestigious Asian Property Awards.

Designed with opulence in mind by CLR’s Design Director, Alissa Birch, Armorel spans an impressive 1000sqm and boasts a thoughtful layout to maximise the stunning views of the Gold Coast skyline. The mansion features a 30-metre river frontage onto an open canal and includes its own private beach, epitomising the height of luxury waterfront living. Among its many lavish features, it was sold fully furnished with specially commissioned Italian Minotti luxury furniture, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail that went into every aspect of the property’s design and presentation.

Alissa Birch, who is also CEO of CLR, shared her vision for the property, stating, “Our vision with Armorel was to introduce an internationally inspired standard of luxury to the Gold Coast, and the response has been phenomenal.” This sale is a manifestation of CLR’s commitment to setting a new benchmark for luxury living in southeast Queensland.

The sale attracted significant attention both within Australia and internationally, showing the global appeal of high-end Australian real estate. Brad Coyne and Taylor Kleinberg of Kollosche, who were responsible for the sale, revealed that the property was the most viewed house for sale in Australia on social media, with over 1 million views, and attracted 40,000 online views through platforms such as realestate.com.au and Domain. “The property received overwhelming interest mostly from interstate and international purchasers, eventually selling to a Chinese businessman for a record $7.7 million who plans to use it as his family holiday home when on the Gold Coast,” Mr. Coyne said.

Furthermore, Mr. Coyne commented on the current market trends, noting the significant interest from international buyers, particularly from China. “The Mermaid Waters prestige housing market is off the charts hot at the moment. It also shows the return of Chinese buyers to the market with a huge amount of interest coming out of China,” he said.

This record-setting sale not only positions Armorel Mansion as one of the most coveted properties in the Gold Coast but also underscores the enduring appeal and growing demand for premier waterfront living spaces in the region.
