A new generation of health, fitness and wellbeing has arrived in Brisbane with the opening of the EMF Performance and Recovery Centre on Ann Street.
The state-of-the-art fitness and wellness destination spans 3,000 square metres across four levels at 157 Ann Street, offering athlete-quality training facilities to inner-city commuters.
The $10 million fitout includes the latest gym equipment, technology, recovery and wellness experiences, such as a snow room, hot and cold recovery pools, meditation room, spin and pilates studios, co-working spaces, and 24/7 access to elite strength and conditioning training.
EMF Performance and Recovery Centre Director Scott Freeman said the centre makes it more convenient than ever for city commuters to access athlete-quality training and recovery.
“With industry-leading equipment, expansive group fitness rooms, and specialised training and recovery zones, we’re really proud to have created the premier sports performance and recovery facility in Queensland,” Freeman said.
The centre is EMF’s Brisbane flagship and the latest tenant to move into Quanta Investment Funds’ 157 Ann Street, bringing the building to 100% occupancy.
Quanta Investment Funds Head of Property Investments Chris Carrigan said the centre’s fitout was completed under budget, despite current construction cost challenges.
“We’re very proud to be working with EMF, and to have completed a very challenging construction delivery to convert office space to pools, recovery facilities, strength and training and relaxation,” Carrigan said.
Quanta acquired the Ann Street property in 2022 for $39 million, and with commencement of EMF’s 10-year lease agreement, have now achieved a valuation of $59 million.
EMF Ann Street’s grand opening will take place on Thursday 21 March, offering free entry all day, facility tours, product tastings, deals and prizes, functional challenges, membership discounts and more.
