REIQ launches educational video series to empower consumers in making property decisions

The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) has launched a new educational video series called Prop IQ, aimed at unpicking the complexities of real estate and answering the big questions regularly fielded by real estate professionals.
The series is designed to empower consumers to make educated, informed decisions about buying, selling, or renting property in Queensland.
REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said Prop IQ aims to demystify and debunk the process of buying, selling, or renting in Queensland and answer consumers’ burning questions.
“Real estate is essential to all of us, it’s often the topic of conversation at BBQs around the country, and it can be the biggest financial investment people make in their lifetime, and yet, most people have a rudimentary understanding of it,” Mercorella said.
“For those who want to make informed property decisions and to understand their rights and responsibilities when buying, selling, or renting, the REIQ has created a show designed to enlighten and empower them.”
Prop IQ is an entertaining, accessible, and interactive learning experience, allowing viewers to gain valuable insights from industry leaders and be a part of the conversation.
Each episode hones in on a different aspect of real estate and speaks to the professionals who live and breathe it, allowing for a deep dive into their expertise.

The inaugural episode, streamed live on the REIQ Facebook page last month, tackled navigating the journey to becoming a homeowner.
It featured a couple who travelled a comprehensive roadmap to successfully acquire their dream home and learnt some important lessons along the way.
The episode also looked at available grants and schemes, the role of mortgage brokers and real estate agents in the buying journey, and discussed how apps can be helpful when it comes to finding the right home.
The first home buyers episode is now available to watch on demand at REIQ.com.
The second episode, which covers the rental market, will be streamed live on the REIQ Facebook page on Tuesday, 23 April 2024 at 5:30pm, and everyone is welcome to tune in.
