Macquarie Telecom has announced a new agreement with Perth-based residential builder Summit Homes Group to enhance the company’s telecommunications infrastructure.
The deal aims to improve Summit Homes’ operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer service as the builder expands its business in Western Australia’s growing housing market.
Summit Homes has grown from 280 to over 500 staff in recent years, prompting the need for a more integrated and efficient telecommunications solution.
Fabio Fusari, IT manager at Summit Homes, said: “In the residential construction industry, embracing change and prioritising customer experience is crucial. We prioritise building strong relationships with our clients and understanding their unique requirements for traditional homes, unit developments, renovations, modular and ‘innovative tiny’ homes.”
Macquarie Telecom has implemented a multi-carrier access wide area network (WAN) across all Summit Homes sites, utilizing a mix of NBN, Telstra, and other major carriers to balance cost reduction with performance quality.
The network is backed up by 4G/5G connectivity to ensure resilience.
Aaron Tighe, Western Australia State Manager at Macquarie Telecom, said: “Summit Homes have seen astonishing success in a difficult sector which is currently under the microscope, and this is largely due to the company’s ingrained passion for innovation, adaptability, and customer service.”
The new agreement has reportedly improved network infrastructure, resulting in enhanced connectivity and efficiency across all Summit Homes sites, while also preparing the company for future expansion.
Summit Homes has also experienced cost savings and reduced administrative overhead, allowing it to focus more on its core business of building homes and providing customer service.
Fusari praised Macquarie Telecom’s customer-centric approach, stating: “The customer service has been fantastic throughout the whole process. We’ve worked with different providers and partners in the past and although customer service is often excellent during the sales process, once you sign on the dotted line, you don’t hear from anyone ever again.”
The partnership between Summit Homes and Macquarie Telecom dates back to 2003 when the telco first provided mobile services to the builder.
