Frasers Property Australia, one of the country’s oldest and most respected property developers, is marking its centennial year in 2024, celebrating a century of shaping neighbourhoods across Australia.
Since its inception in 1924, the company has built over 145,000 homes, creating communities for more than 350,000 residents. It currently manages 13 retail centres with 55,000 square metres of retail space and is progressing 20 communities across the country.
Cameron Leggatt, CEO of Frasers Property Australia, highlighted the company’s commitment to fostering strong community connections.
“Our passion for property and commitment to leaving a lasting legacy is something that’s remained a clear constant from T.M Burke, through to Frasers Property Australia,” Mr Leggatt said.
The company’s second annual Great Neighbourhood Survey, conducted as part of its centennial celebrations, found:
- 85% of residents are overly satisfied with where they live
- 85% of residents have met and know other residents by their first name
- 81% of residents said their move to a Frasers Property community has met their lifestyle expectations
Mr Leggatt said the survey helps benchmark the company’s performance against its goal of creating “stronger, smarter, happier neighbourhoods.”
Frasers Property Australia has been responsible for shaping many iconic residential precincts, including:
- Burwood Brickworks in Victoria
- Central Park in Sydney, New South Wales
- Cova on the Gold Coast, Queensland
The company’s history dates back to shaping communities on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast between the 1920s and 1960s.
As part of its centennial celebrations, Frasers Property is offering members of its Care & Rewards program the chance to win a $10,000 holiday to Noosa.
Throughout its history, which includes iterations as T.M Burke Pty Ltd, Hooker Corporation, Australand and now Frasers Property Australia, the company has earned over 400 national and international industry awards.
Frasers Property Australia remains committed to building places that foster a sense of belonging, with future developments focusing on connection from the early planning stages.
