Construction is set to commence on a new ultra-luxury apartment building on the Gold Coast’s Northcliffe Beach, aiming to set new standards for beachfront living in the area.

Sydney developer Xsite Group has appointed ProMax to build the Arc Residences Northcliffe project at 9-11 Garfield Terrace, Surfers Paradise.

The 37-apartment development will occupy a 1,037 square metre absolute beachfront site between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.

Caitlin Rosenboom from Ray White Gold Coast, the exclusive sales agent, said there has been strong interest from local and interstate buyers.

“This is one of the most exciting absolute beachfront projects I have had the pleasure of working on in my 25-plus years in the industry,” Rosenboom said.

Architect Frank Mosca said the building’s glass exterior is designed to reflect wave movements, with a roof depicting rolling surf.

“It is time for something different on the Gold Coast, something that elevates the appearance of buildings in this prestigious location,” Mosca said.

Apartments start at $3,995,000 for a half floor and $9,220,000 for a full floor.

Amenities will include a pool, wellness floor, beachfront dining room, cinema and dog washroom.

Xsite Group CEO Stoyan Kiceec said the company aimed to create “the most beautiful boutique residential building” on the Gold Coast.

Construction is due to begin in November after demolition of the previous building on the site.

The project highlights ongoing demand for luxury beachfront properties in premier Gold Coast locations.
