Sherridon Homes, a leading Victorian home builder, has opened a new office in Bairnsdale, expanding its presence in regional Victoria.
The Bairnsdale office is the company’s sixth regional location and third in the Gippsland area.
Dean Currie, Gippsland Regional Manager for Sherridon Homes, said the expansion was driven by increased demand from East Gippsland.
“We recognised the need for a home builder with strong local support that is backed by a financially secure parent company such as AHB Group,” Currie said.
The new office will feature local sales and construction teams with extensive experience in the region.
Natalie King, Regional General Manager at Sherridon Homes, said the company has close to 10 percent market share in the regions it operates in, with expectations for growth.
“The regional division of Sherridon Homes commenced four years ago and in that time, we have opened six regional offices with more in the pipeline,” King said.
The company is currently building over 500 homes per year in regional areas.
Bairnsdale’s population is projected to grow by 10,000 people by 2050, according to the East Gippsland Shire Council.
Sherridon Homes is part of AHB Group, which has been operating since 2005 and employs over 200 staff across Victoria.
The company now has regional offices in Bairnsdale, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Gippsland and Wonthaggi.
King attributed the company’s success to investing in local infrastructure and working with local suppliers and tradespeople.
