The Real Estate Institute of Australia has appointed Scott Rollason as its new chief executive officer, effective November 14.

REIA President Leanne Pilkington said Rollason brought extensive experience to the role.

“Scott is a qualified lawyer with a strong background in organisational strategy, governance, insurance, financial management, government relations, policy, and lobbying,” Pilkington said.

Rollason joins REIA from Family Day Care Australia, where he served as general manager of the national peak body.

His career includes positions with Commonwealth Government departments, including the Attorney-General’s Department and Department of Education.

He currently serves on the Governance, Audit, Risk, and Finance Board Committee for Dietitians Australia.

The appointment follows a transition period led by Interim CEO Maria Edwards.
