More than 1,000 real estate professionals gathered at The Star Brisbane last night for the Real Estate Institute of Queensland’s (REIQ) 33rd annual Awards for Excellence.

Tristan Rowland from Stone Real Estate Aspley claimed the coveted Residential Salesperson of the Year award at the state’s biggest ever industry celebration.

REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said the awards showcased exceptional industry talent.

“The awards season is always an exciting time for us to showcase all the professionals who are pushing the boundaries of excellence and service in our state,” she said.

The event recognized achievement across 29 categories spanning residential and commercial property, with winners selected from Queensland’s diverse regions.

“I don’t envy the judges challenging task in determining the winners. All of our finalists are driving our profession forward — they are our stars, our trailblazers,” Mercorella said.

Regional standouts included Belle Property Townsville, which won Sales Agency Regional for both settled commissions and transactions.

COASTAL Property Agents dominated the South East Queensland awards, taking home both the settled commissions and transactions categories.

Three new inductees joined the REIQ Hall of Fame, including Chris Gilmour for Residential Salesperson SEQ and RE/MAX Success for two regional sales categories.

“Taking home a trophy is never easy. These kinds of inspiring results are not reached without endless hours of hard work and a laser focus on best practice delivery for clients,” Mercorella said.

Island Sands Asset Management was named Small Residential Agency of the Year, while Ray White Marsden claimed the Large Residential Agency title.
