View Media Group has expanded its property listings database to more than 185,000 properties through a new partnership with Real Estate Industry Partners (REIP).

The REIP Nexus data service launched on view.com.au this week, providing access to over 10 million off-market property listings and sales price estimates.

View.com.au’s listing volumes have grown from 130,000 to over 185,000 in the past 13 months as the platform aims to become the second largest property portal in Australia.

“We are always looking at ways to ensure our products and services provide the best possible experience for property seekers and to our agent partners,” said VMG Executive Chairman, Antony Catalano.

The partnership comes as property portals face increasing competition from social media and other digital channels, while traditional portals have raised advertising costs by over 8 per cent annually.

“REIP Nexus is a significant and important step for the real estate industry to secure our future relevance and status as our client’s trusted advisors,” said Mike Green, Managing Director of Harcourts.

Carmen Vicelich, Global CEO and Founder of Valocity, said the partnership would “provide unprecedented insights, real time data, transparency, and trust to all Australians throughout the homebuying journey”.

The REIP Nexus service, a joint venture between REIP and Valocity, will give view.com.au users access to sales price estimates and property data to assist with market research.

“Partnering with REIP Nexus ensures our audience has access to rich data on over 10 million properties to assist them in their property research,” Catalano said.

The partnership marks the first initiative between REIP and VMG as part of their multi-year agreement, with view.com.au offering free listings to real estate agencies nationwide.
