Buxton Real Estate has opened a new office in Elwood, expanding its presence along Melbourne’s bayside corridor under the leadership of directors Zoe Cherrie and Dave Seeber.

The office aims to service the growing Elwood property market, complementing Buxton’s existing operations in Port Phillip, Port Melbourne, St Kilda, Brighton, Hampton and Sandringham.

“Elwood has long been an integral part of the bayside real estate market, and we felt the time was right to establish a dedicated presence here,” Seeber said.

Seeber, who became Director of Buxton St Kilda & Albert Park in 2016, brings over a decade of experience with the company to the new venture.

His co-director Cherrie has been named Buxton’s agent of the year for three consecutive years.

“Elwood has an undeniable charm, from its village atmosphere to its vibrant community,” Cherrie said.

“We saw a real need for a fresh, dynamic real estate offering in the area, and we’re here to be the first choice that buyers and sellers deserve.”

The expansion comes as Elwood’s property market attracts increasing interest from downsizers seeking apartments and prestige buyers looking for premium homes.

The suburb recorded a significant sale last year at 9 Bendigo Avenue for $17.05 million, marking Port Phillip’s highest sale price for the year.

“The Elwood market has always been diverse, catering to first-home buyers, growing families, and luxury buyers alike,” Seeber said.

The new office will focus exclusively on residential sales.

Buxton CEO Marcus Williams said the Elwood office represented a strategic expansion for the company.

“The strength of the bayside market, combined with the expertise of Zoe Cherrie and Dave Seeber, makes this an exciting new chapter for our network,” he said.
