The most-viewed homes in December 2025 span a diverse range of styles and locations, from architectural gems and sprawling rural estates to humble suburban dwellings.
At the top of the list is a $30 million mansion located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. This 2,150 square metre property at 143-145 Whale Beach Road, Whale Beach, drew more than 24,000 visits, making it the most popular listing. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom sandstone home is a testament to luxury, featuring its own golf course, spa, infinity plunge pool, and sauna. Nestled on a cliff, the property offers panoramic views extending to Palm Beach and the Central Coast of NSW. “It’s a unique blend of coastal luxury and city proximity,” said a real estate expert familiar with the property market in the area.
In stark contrast, the second most-viewed property was a shed-style house in the NSW Riverina region, marketed as ‘priced to sell’ with a guide of $480,000-$520,000. Located at 32-34 Edward Street, Mirrool, this picturesque one-acre allotment captivated viewers with its minimalist design, floor-to-ceiling windows, and breathtaking countryside views. The property includes four bedrooms, two large bathrooms, and spacious living areas designed around an extensive outdoor living space. “This property is a testament to the growing interest in rural and regional living,” noted a local real estate agent.
The third spot was claimed by a mid-century home nestled in the Dandenong Ranges at 18 Woodhurst Grove, Kalorama, Victoria. This property, with its cedar-lined walls and original period elements, offers enviable views of the surrounding bushland. Despite its need for some renovation, the home was under offer by the end of December. “The charm of mid-century architecture continues to draw significant interest from buyers looking for character and history,” commented a property historian.
A luxurious architectural gem at 18 Hillside Road, Springfield, South Australia, took the fourth position. This residence, designed by Architects Ink, features expansive grounds and gardens, a tennis court, and a pool. The five-bedroom, white brick home was snapped up within days of listing, underscoring the demand for architecturally significant properties. “Homes like this, in tightly held streets, rarely come to market, which explains the swift sale,” said a local real estate professional.
Victoria had a strong presence in the top 20 most-viewed properties, with seven homes making the list. Among them, 5 Alamein Avenue, Kilsyth, sold for $870,000 just before Christmas. This property offers 983 square metres of flat space with opportunities for extensive renovations or redevelopment. “The location, close to schools, shops, and transport, makes it a desirable option for families and developers alike,” explained a Melbourne-based real estate agent.
Queensland also saw significant interest, particularly in the Gold Coast area. The striking property at 91 Blacks Road, Willow Vale, with its premium 20-car showroom and floor-to-ceiling glass, epitomises luxury in rural Queensland. Meanwhile, the more modest 2/23 Walnut Street, Elanora, a three-bedroom duplex, attracted attention due to its prime location just a five-minute drive from Palm Beach. “These properties highlight the diverse range of interests among buyers, from luxury estates to practical family homes,” said a Queensland property analyst.
Western Australia contributed two properties to the top 20, both boasting spectacular water views. The resort-style home at 3 Surbiton Road, East Fremantle, offers world-class ocean views and features a tennis court and pool. Further south, 38 Warnbro Beach Road, Safety Bay, with its prime ocean-front position, was viewed nearly 10,000 times. “The allure of ocean views is timeless, and these properties are prime examples of why WA’s coastal homes remain in high demand,” remarked a Perth-based real estate expert.
South Australia’s entries included the contemporary redesign at 92 Bonython Avenue, Novar Gardens. This property, featuring a golf course frontage and proximity to the city, beach, and airport, was viewed over 9,000 times. “The blend of modern design with practical location benefits makes this home particularly appealing,” noted a South Australian real estate consultant.
