The Block 2025 secures 5 Prime Land Lots, the Perth suburbs that saw more than 35 per cent growth last financial year, and is Spring coming early for auctions?

– Daylesford, Victoria will be the location for The Block 2025, with the challenge set for contestants to create a carbon-neutral community.
– Five 2,400 square metre blocks were sold to Channel 9 for the show, by agents at by Belle Property Daylesford.
– The development is part of Daylesford’s ongoing sustainability efforts, with the town being named one of Victoria’s most walkable towns in 2024.

And across the country, a number of suburbs in Western Australia recorded over 35 per cent median growth over the 12 months to June 2024.
Viveash, Hillman, Armadale, Midvale, Shelley, Kallaroo and Kelmscott all posted growth of more than 35 per cent, according to REIWA.  
Perth’s median house sale price reached a record $665,000 for the year – an 18.8 per cent lift on last year’s prices.

Turning to this week’s auction activity now, and auction volumes are expected to rise week-on-week, with more than 1,780 capital city homes scheduled for auction.
– The number of homes going under the hammer in Melbourne is slated to jump more than 20 per cent, while there will be 14 per cent more properties available in Sydney.
– Brisbane and Adelaide will also see more homes available, while Canberra and Perth are expecting less activity. Tasmania has no auctions scheduled.
– CoreLogic anticipates further increase in auction volumes as the end of the month approaches, with an early estimate of 1,950 homes scheduled for the week ending 28 July.
