View.com.au sets new audience record in May amid industry decline

View.com.au has reported a record-breaking audience of 1.24 million in May 2024, according to the latest IPSOS Iris audience numbers.

This represents a 14% increase from April and surpasses the site’s previous best of 1.09 million in February 2024.

The growth comes against an industry-wide audience decline of 4.6% from April to May in the Homes and Property category.

Internal Google Analytics data showed an even higher figure, with 1.8 million users visiting the site in May.

View Media Group Chief Marketing Officer Paul Tyrrell expressed satisfaction with the results, noting that the site is only eight months old.

“It’s great to finish off the Autumn campaign period so strongly. We’re still only 8 months in since the launch of view.com.au and we couldn’t be happier with the audience growth as we move into our winter hiatus across June & July,” Tyrrell said.

The company is now focusing on its spring campaign, set to launch in mid-August. Tyrrell highlighted upcoming product enhancements and fresh messaging as key drivers for further audience growth.

View.com.au is also leveraging its partnership with Seven West Media, including integration with Channel Seven’s AFL finals series and reaching 1.3 million viewers through the Dream Home program since launch.

Additionally, the company has introduced a new View suburb profile segment on Better Homes & Gardens.

“Channel Seven’s AFL finals series is the perfect timing for us to build aggressively through spring. This on top of further Seven West Media integrations including 1.3 million reached through Dream Home since launch, and our new View suburb profile segment on Better, Homes & Gardens puts us in the perfect position for a massive spring,” Tyrrell said.

The strong performance of view.com.au comes at a time when the overall Homes and Property category has seen a decline in audience numbers, highlighting the site’s growing prominence in the market.
